UCF HR - Talent Acquisition Center:

In the Talent Acquisition Center our mission is to strategically partner with UCF departments and hiring managers to identify and recruit exceptional individuals who align with the university's values, vision, and goals. The Opportunity:

UCF Talent Acquisition is accepting applications for a Recruiter! The Recruiter is responsible for providing best in class recruitment services to support the programs and initiatives of the university. Partners and collaborates with hiring managers and leadership to develop and implement talent acquisition strategies for staff positions. Under intermittent supervision, oversees development of viable recruiting strategies, management of requisitions, sourcing and attracting candidates, and facilitation of the hiring process in conjunction with the HR Business Center for the unit.

We seek candidates who are passionate about working in higher education and dedicated to providing outstanding service to our prospective candidates, and our internal and external partners. Our team provides customized service to hiring managers at all levels of the university, so excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Classification title: Recruiting Partner II

Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a strategic consultant to assigned hiring managers and staff search committees, providing expert guidance on market trends, competitive salary insights, and effective recruitment strategies tailored to specific department needs.

  • Lead strategy meetings with hiring managers to define roles, clarify essential qualifications, and establish a clear, efficient search timeline and structured interview plan.

  • Proactively identify, source, and engage top-tier talent for both immediate openings and future pipelines, utilizing advanced sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, specialized job boards, academic databases) and creative outreach techniques.

  • Develop and maintain a robust network of passive candidates by actively promoting UCF's employee value proposition and acting as an institutional brand ambassador.

  • Execute targeted outreach campaigns to attract a diverse pool of applicants via our candidate relationship management, and sourcing tools.

  • Meticulously review, evaluate, and assess applicants against minimum and preferred qualifications based solely on their application materials.

  • Present a curated, qualified slate of candidates to the hiring manager and search committee, providing a detailed rationale for each recommendation.

  • Ensure all steps of the recruitment and selection process adhere strictly to UCF, State, and Federal regulations standards and internal audit requirements.

  • Provide essential Workday assistance to hiring managers and search committee members, guiding them through the applicant tracking system for application review.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of university-wide branding, advertising, and marketing initiatives to continually enhance UCF's reputation as an "employer of choice" in the higher education sector.

  • Represent UCF at targeted career fairs, professional conferences, and virtual recruitment events to build talent pipelines and increase the visibility of career opportunities.

  • Leverage data from recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source-of-hire) to continually optimize and improve the effectiveness of the recruitment process.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 3+ years recruitment experience in a complex organization.

  • HR experience in higher education or the public sector.

  • Demonstrated experience effectively sourcing passive candidates and building talent pools.

  • Experience working closely with hiring managers as a strategic partner for a variety of roles/fields.

  • Experience utilizing social media for recruiting, marketing, or other professional purposes.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrate a strong capacity for maintaining confidentiality while navigating complex regulatory and procedural environments.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $64,518- $67,500. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
