The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is looking for qualified adjunct instructors to join our dynamic pool of faculty for on-campus teaching opportunities in the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education (SASE). We are in search of instructors who can teach Introduction to Ethics in-person at our Manchester, NH campus for the Spring 2026 semester. You will report to the Associate Dean of SASE and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction in foundational philosophy courses. These courses explore ethical reasoning, and philosophical traditions, helping students develop a deeper understanding of human values and thought.

The following courses are available:

  • Introduction to Ethics
    • Tuesday/Friday: 8 am - 9:15 am
    • Tuesday/Friday: 9:30 am - 10:45 am

What you'll do:

  • Teach one or more sections of Introduction to Ethics
  • Deliver and be committed to in-person instruction on SNHU's Manchester campus
  • Develop and implement course materials according to departmental and University standards
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Provide feedback and maintain accurate student records
  • Create and keep course Brightspace pages maintained
  • Participate in departmental meetings and trainings

What we're looking for:

  • Master's degree in Philosophy or a related field
  • Demonstrated college-level teaching experience

Compensation

The standard compensation for courses is $2,800 - $3,400 per 16-week undergraduate or graduate course. Actual pay is determined at the time of course assignment based on discipline.
