Job Description

Purpose:

  • The responsibility of the die cutter position is to safely and efficiently produced lid stock per client specifications and requirements.

Duties

  • Follows all Company policies and procedures related to safety. Maintains only the highest safety standards by wearing proper PPE, etc
  • Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation, and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors.
  • Meets Company's attendance requirements including timely reporting of absence and working overtime as requested.
  • Operates die cut machine.
  • Performs basic operator preventative maintenance to machines and/or tools;
  • Checks and inspects material received from prior operations to verify accuracy and conformance to specifications on Sales Order Form
  • Stages own materials for packing finished die cut material
  • Keeps die cut parts in registration and completing quality forms
  • Complies with sanitation guidelines and good manufacturing practices related to neatness, product cleanliness and personal hygiene.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area, in accordance of 5S standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis.
  • Participates in on-the-job training and instruction to learn other job tasks
  • Complies with Company policies and performs other duties as assigned;

Knowledge Requirements

  • Must possess strong working knowledge of die-cut machines.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.

Knowledge Sources

  • 0-1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School education or equivalent.

  • Daily contact with maintenance workers, shift supervisor, production employees and production planners.

ContactsExternal

  • Limit exposure to external contacts.

Responsibility

  • Die cutter is responsible for safely producing quality materials that meet the expectations and demands of our customers.

Physical Requirements

  • The position requires an employee to stand and walk for an extended period of time. Exposure to moderate noise levels and potential hazardous materials. Must be able to lift a maximum of 55 lbs and must adhere to PPE and GMP requirements. Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case by case basis
