TheManufacturing Quality Assurance Technician supports the Quality Assurance Manager and production team in maintaining high product quality standards for prefabricated electrical and metal assemblies, skid packages, modular assemblies, control panels, motor control panels, and similar assemblies. This role involves inspecting and testing products, identifying defects or issues, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with ISO and safety standards.

This is an entry-level to mid-level position with opportunities for growth in manufacturing quality systems, inspection methods, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct manual and automated quality checks, inspections, and tests during various stages of the production process.
  • Ensure testing and inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Review, revise, and assist in developing testing procedures and production processes to maintain compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Identify defects and deviations from standards, document them, and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Communicate quality and safety issues to the Quality Assurance Manager and assist with resolution.
  • Support adherence to ISO standards, audit preparedness, and ISO document control.
  • Assist with wire kits, panel kits, and panel testing.
  • Help create and maintain quality documentation and visual standards.
  • Recommend and assist with quality and process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product consistency.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards across production areas.


Qualifications & Education

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related experience in industrial technology, manufacturing, electrical, or quality systems preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or electrical environment helpful but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Technical Skills: Understanding of inspection tools, basic electrical or mechanical systems, and ISO or similar quality frameworks.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to write reports and communicate effectively with teams.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and apply basic algebra, geometry, and measurement conversions.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, analyze results, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.


Physical Demands



  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands to handle and reach for objects, tools, and equipment.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.


Work Environment



  • Work occurs primarily in a production shop environment but may involve visits to construction sites or installation locations.
  • Exposure to moderate noise, electrical components, and occasional outdoor or elevated work conditions.
  • Must follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, gloves, high-visibility clothing, and safety glasses.

Travel: Limited travel (less than 5%) may be required for training, quality audits, or to assist at job sites with control panel installation or testing activities.

Location: This position may be based out of our Omaha, NE office.
