About the Role

The Associate Creative Director will help shape BetMGM's creative output across campaigns and channels, with a focus on video, social, and content-driven storytelling. You'll partner closely with copywriters, designers, and creative directors to concept and execute innovative, brand-building work that drives engagement and growth.

This role requires a hands-on creative leader who can think strategically, design beautifully, and collaborate fluidly across teams and departments.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Creative Directors to concept and execute integrated campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels.

  • Lead visual storytelling for high-impact projects-especially video, paid social, and brand content.

  • Collaborate with designers, editors, writers, and marketing partners to bring ideas to life that elevate the BetMGM and Borgata brands.

  • Ensure all creative aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a high level of craft, consistency, and innovation.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing concepting, design oversight, and production.

  • Present creative ideas and executions to internal stakeholders, adapting based on feedback.

  • Support junior designers and art directors with mentorship, feedback, and hands-on guidance.

  • Stay on top of design, pop culture, and gaming trends to keep creative fresh and relevant.

  • Contribute to the evolution of the BetMGM visual identity and help document creative standards for future work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Graphic Design, Advertising, Marketing, or a related discipline).

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a creative role, with at least 2+years in a leadership or management capacity.

  • Demonstrated expertise in creative direction, project management, and team leadership.

  • Strong understanding of the gaming and sports industry, and related marketing trends.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design software.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Extensive experience in video content creation and paid social media campaigns.

  • Product design and motion graphics experience is a plus.

  • Online portfolio of work.

The annual salary range for this position is $126000 to $155000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements

As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

In addition, candidates must comply with and support the company's responsible gambling policies, procedures and initiatives.

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
