Security Officer - Financial Institution Patrol

As a Security Officer - Financial Institution Patrol in SANTA CRUZ, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and responding to situations to support a secure environment for clients and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual observations, and maintenance issues according to Allied Universal procedures.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• You must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
