What you'll do

The Software Engineer II - Platform Engineering will be responsible for managing enterprise DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket, and Ansible, as well as AWS services such as Lambda and EKS. You will participate in ensuring that our DevOps platform is reliable, fast, scalable, and secure. You will be part of a high-performance team that applies modern Agile and software engineering practices to its work.

Who you are

Ideally you will have a BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field with at least three years of experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or five years of SDLC experience without a degree. Adaptable to a fast-paced agile environment with an understanding of security practices for handling production customer data.

Your skill-set

Key skills and real-world experience for this role include:

• Administration-level knowledge of common DevOps Tools in a large-scale engineering environment
• Low-level system administration, debugging, and reliability/performance/scalability/security design
• Infrastructure-as-Code languages such as Chef, Ansible, and Terraform
• Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS
• Knowledge of other AWS services, especially security and networking, is highly desirable
• Strong SDLC skills applied in a large engineering organization, including version control, peer review, and automated testing and deployment

You should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask and work independently without immediate supervision. At the same time, you should also be a strong team player who thrives in a highly collaborative environment.
