Overview
 
We're seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join a fast-growing startup producing high-quality, short-form video content for brand ambassadors, paid social campaigns, and broadcast. The ideal candidate has strong editing fundamentals, a great eye for storytelling, and experience crafting engaging content that connects with consumers. This role is Remote, 25 hours per week. I deally looking for candidates in Houston, Austin, or Dallas Key Responsibilities: 
 
  
 - Edit short-form video content (60-90 seconds) for ambassador programs, TV spots, UGC-style paid social ads, and branded campaigns.
 - Collaborate closely with the Hiring Manager and Producer to refine creative concepts and bring stories to life.
 - Manage projects from raw footage to final delivery, ensuring consistency in pacing, tone, and brand alignment.
 - Apply elementary sound design and color grading to enhance the quality and mood of videos.
 - Organize and manage media assets efficiently to support a fast-paced production environment.
 - Contribute creative ideas to optimize storytelling for different platforms and audiences.
 
  
 
 
Qualifications: 
 
  
 - 3+ years of professional video editing experience (agency, brand, or startup experience preferred).
 - Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (Final Cut Pro or Avid experience also acceptable).
 - Strong understanding of short-form video trends, particularly in social media and paid digital advertising.
 - Basic skills in sound design and color correction.
 - Portfolio showcasing storytelling ability, strong editing style, and customer-facing or brand work-ideally in CPG or retail.
 - Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
