JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Software Development Engineer - Security (REQ# 200625596) in Austin, Texas. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Design and develop security services that run in a highly scalable compute environment to secure critical internal Apple services. Maintain existing production services including collaborating in troubleshooting and making improvements to help improve service reliability. Work cross functionally with engineering teams across Apple to help them use our teams’ services and improve the security posture of their infrastructure and services. Participate in architecture discussions to review design decisions for services. Stay up to date on security industry trends by staying updated on the latest technologies as they are released or discussed publicly (blogs, etc.), to help our team make informed decisions about new technologies to adopt.
