As a Security Officer Logistics Screener in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, conducting x-ray screenings, and verifying credentials. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service to all visitors and team members. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Conduct screening procedures of individuals, vehicles, and/or packages entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, drivers, and employees with site-specific security-related procedures and directions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Complete required documentation and reports related to security-related activities, incidents, and observations.
• Work in collaboration with site staff and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and maintain a secure environment.
• Perform regular and random patrols of designated areas within the logistics and distribution location, including the perimeter, to observe and report any suspicious activity.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A guard card or security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
