 Location: Mall Clinic, Janesville WIHours: 48 Hours every 2 Weeks (Part-Time)Shift: Days Provides support with the daily activities of a medical office by performing the following duties and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities
 
 
 
 Rooms patients, collects assessment data and prepares patient according to specific need.Assists in examination, treatment and other clinic procedures.Assists with laboratory procedures, screening tests and QI projects.Answers telephone and either responds to inquiry, directs caller to appropriate personnel, or initiates a triage slip for response by medical personnel.Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler.Conducts reminder calls to all patients.Greet and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors.Registers patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate.Makes appropriate changes in computer system and on patient's chart.Coordinates referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices.Collects payment from patients and issues receipt where applicable.Prepares and maintains patient charts.Maintains and orders supplies. Education and Experience
 
 
 
 Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.Experience in a program with a clinical rotation preferred. Certification/Licensure
 
 
 
 Approved AHA BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.Medication injection training and pharmacology is a required competency to perform medication administration. Special Physical Demands

 Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Frequently lift, move, and position patients or equipment up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.Manual dexterity to perform clinical procedures and operate medical equipment and keyboards.Involves frequent reaching, stooping, bending, and kneeling.Requires clear close-up vision, hearing, and speech for effective patient communication and care.
