Job Summary Functions as the lead by performing day to day functions related to the management of the facility's level medical equipment, orthopedic braces, and Emergency Medical Sets to include selecting, ordering, and ensuring equipment delivery to the appropriate user. Creates Epic records to charge materials, rental medical equipment, and orthopedic equipment to the end user. Builds Epic Records for all rentals to include specialty bed, orthopedic braces, emergency medical sets, bariatric and medical equipment to bill patient. Tracks and monitors daily with clinical engineering, pharmacy, nurses, and vendors to ensure all issues are resolved with medical equipment. Manages, inventories, and audits all specialty code carts and emergency airway management boxes. Controls multiple databases to include 3M, Hill-Rom, Epic, and Workday to ensure daily availability of all specialty equipment. Tracks all DME rentals and coordinates the return to vendor within the facility. Communicates all equipment shortages/issues with Site Manager, Operating Room, Nursing Departments, and Vendor. - Responsible for Durable Medical Equipment operations and staff in the absence of the Manager/Supervisor to ensure everything is covered. Assists inventory process, inclusive of but not limited to stock additions, changes, deletes, pick confirmations, issue corrections, replenishment verifications and cycle/physical counts. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Requirements Educaton - High school diploma, GED or equivalent Experience - One (1) year experience in a hospital supply setting preferred.
