The Supervisor Materials Mgmt/Logistics is responsible for supervising a team of individual contributors supporting supply chain processes like category management, materials management and logistics, procurement administration and operations procurement, ensuring adherence to policies and guidelines. The role conducts thorough analyses of business plans using advanced supply chain techniques, aiming to optimize service levels and cost-effectiveness. The role collaborates with suppliers to ensure effective performance management, quality assurance, and on-time delivery. The role also plays a key part in setting and overseeing both tactical and strategic objectives for the supply chain team, fostering team relationships, and contributing to team development and resource allocation. * Supervises a team of individual contributors engaged in supporting supply chain processes and operations like category management, materials management and logistics, procurement administration and operations procurement, in accordance with policies, procedures, and guidelines. * Consults with stakeholders to set negotiation standards, resolve operational issues, establish sourcing strategies, and align, improve as well as standardize processes, policies, and procedures. * Performs comprehensive analysis of business plans, utilizing advanced supply chain techniques to set targets, control levels, and develop short-term demand plans, ensuring optimal service levels. * Identifies ways to improve service level agreements and lower the cost to serve, ensuring that procurement activities and supplier contracts are accurately recorded. * Collaborates with suppliers to ensure performance, including supplier quality and on-time delivery, forms supplier performance management teams, and assists in developing KPIs to track and improve performance. * Coordinates with stakeholders to set standards, resolve complex data and functionality issues, and improve functional level policies and processes related to supplier integration and SAP applications. * Sets and oversees tactical and strategic supply chain objectives, fostering team relationships, and actively improving inclusive behaviors for enhanced business outcomes. * Builds trust, establishes role clarity, and empowers teams to introduce innovations, ensuring alignment between supply chain priorities and organizational goals and effective resource allocation. * Defines timelines, holds teams accountable, and strategically allocates resources, demonstrating courage in risk-taking and navigating challenges for team success. * Guides and mentors the team, actively contributing to employee selection, performance management, compensation management, career development, and overseeing operational processes. Education: * Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required. Experience: * 5+ years of relevant experience with 0-2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in Supply Chain specializing in areas such as Category Management, Logistics, Procurement, Sourcing, Materials Management, Cost Management or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.
