We are currently seeking an Information Technology (IT) Co-op to join our office in Philadelphia, PA.

Position Summary:

IT is looking for a co-op to provide them an opportunity to experience all aspects of the IT Department at Burns inclusive of Networking and Infrastructure, Customer Support and Experience, Application Development and BIM. This individual will work with each area through the course of their tenure.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Customer Support and Experience: Assist with all aspects of Support from Help Desk through to higher level issues. Learn the basics of Level 1 and 2 help desk support in all aspects including, but not limited to, hardware, software, documentation, training, responsiveness and professionalism.
  • Networking and Infrastructure: Work with the Network Architecture team and interact with networking basics including routing and switching, firewall rules and operations, cybersecurity, server configuration and virtualization.
  • BIM: Work with the BIM team to understand the intersection of technology and business process. The support of the production team is critical to the firm's success.
  • Application Development: The newest area of the department will provide insight into the creation of new products and services to our clients as well as creating internal efficiencies for our staff.


Key Requirements:



  • A demonstrated ability to learn the basics within his or her discipline and grow within the firm
  • Course work in a four-year undergraduate program with a focus in a related field (Application Development, MIS, Information Technology, etc.)
  • 0-2 years internship experience preferred
