Your role

As a Warehouse Engineer, your mission is to lead projects of cross-departmental impact, identifying process improvements and bringing initiatives to a successful conclusion while exceeding internal and external customer expectations. You will play a vital role in optimizing warehouse operations and will report directly to the Warehouse Manager, collaborating closely with a dedicated team of three other Warehouse Engineers. In this position, you will:

  • Analyze warehouse processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement using advanced data tools and techniques.

  • Enhance warehouse KPIs by integrating advanced analytics and visualization tools that contribute to proactive decision-making.

  • Utilize KPIs and trend analysis to foster continuous improvement initiatives that effectively reduce waste and elevate performance.

  • Develop and track improvement plans through the implementation of dashboards and real-time performance monitoring systems.

  • Act as a key user and administrator of SAP EWM, leveraging system data to optimize workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Monitor space utilization and ensure storage compliance through the application of data-driven tools that align with industry best practices.

  • Provide actionable insights that promote better customer service, transparency, and reliability in warehouse operations.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to share findings, drive improvements, and foster a culture of teamwork and accountability.

  • Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned by your manager, remaining flexible to the evolving needs of the organization.

To succeed, you will need

You will need 5 or more years of professional experience, working extensively in roles such as warehouse engineering or logistics management.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools
  • Solid supply chain IT and SQL / query writing knowledge
  • Solid understanding of Supply Chain principles and practices
  • Project Management certification or experience
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and Lean principles
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Business / Engineering / Supply Chain)
  • Postgraduate education considered a strength.
  • Formal Six Sigma training / Lean Warehousing training an asset
  • WMS exposure and knowledge preferably SAP EWM (WMS implementation, administration, power user).
