Project Engineer Water/Wastewater (PE)

While your primary focus will be water and wastewater infrastructure, you'll also have opportunities to collaborate across service lines-including land development, transportation, and survey-and contribute to projects in other regions across the Southeast. This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career engineer looking to deepen technical skills, broaden experience, and build a long-term path in a stable, growth-oriented environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Provide engineering design support on water, wastewater, and reclaimed water projects across Northwest Florida and the Gulf Coast.
• Perform hydraulic evaluations, design calculations, plan and profile drafting, and specification development.
• Support permitting processes with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Conduct field investigations, attend client meetings, and assist with construction-phase services.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and senior engineers to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
• Stay current on local utility agency standards and regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in utility infrastructure design, including pipelines, pump stations, or treatment facilities.
• EI certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain PE within 6-12 months via reciprocity.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and hydraulic modeling tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving and criminal background.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

• 5+ years of hands-on design experience in water/wastewater systems.
• Experience with plan and detail production, permit submittals, and coordination with reviewing agencies.
• Familiarity with permitting processes in Florida (FDEP, local municipalities).
• Proficiency in Civil3D and/or Revit.
