Position Description About TechSource: TechSource, a Salas O'Brien company, is a nationally recognized engineering and scientific company specializing in the management and technical delivery of large-scale nuclear and high-technology projects with numerous federal agencies, helping to advance missions of national importance for government programs, national laboratories, national security facilities, nuclear operations, and complex projects nationwide. We provide direct access to hundreds of experts and industry leaders in the nuclear sciences, non-proliferation technologies, accelerator physics, and systems engineering arenas with offices in Washington DC, SC, TX, TN, and NM. Our outstanding technical service has earned the company a client retention rate of over 95 percent. As an employee-owned company, we work to attract and retain the best talent because the best talent delivers the best results for our clients. TechSource is a recent DOE Small Business of the Year recipient and eleven-time Inc. 5000 winner. About this role: TechSource is seeking a Principal Electrical Systems Architect to join the Advanced Sources and Detector (ASD) Project team in support of the design, integration, and operational readiness of the Scorpius ~20 MeV linear induction accelerator, used for subcritical experiments at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). This role is intended for a senior technical leader with deep experience architecting and maturing R&D electrical systems for experimental or first-of-a-kind platforms, such as accelerators, pulsed power systems, or other high-energy physics applications. The successful candidate will provide system-level technical leadership across the accelerator's electrical subsystems, with a strong emphasis on concept development, integration, and performance optimization, rather than facility electrical infrastructure. The position requires close collaboration with national laboratories, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative, high-reliability electrical solutions in high-voltage and high-radiation environments.
