Job Overview The Seasonal Creative Production Coordinator is both a project manager and cultural connector within Macy's Studios. This role ensures that all creative requests; physical products, handouts, gifting, and activations are produced and delivered flawlessly - while also keeping a finger on the pulse of current product trends, event culture, and pop inspiration. From commemorative apparel, to guides and VIP gifting and branded event activations and tentpole events, this coordinator helps make Macy's moments buzz-worthy, timely, and unforgettable. What You Will Do
- Project & Request Management
- Create, route, and track all creative and production requests across teams and vendors.
- Own timelines and deliverables, keeping every detail on track.
- Maintain master calendars and reporting tools for visibility across projects.
- Event & Activation Production
- Oversee the creation of pamphlets, handouts, commemorative products, and branded items for the Parade, Flower Show, and seasonal activations.
- Support guest-facing activations that bring excitement and cultural relevance to Macy's events.
- Coordinate on-site distribution and ensure materials reach the right audiences at the right time.
- Vendor & Budget Oversight
- Source, bid, and negotiate with vendors and fabricators.
- Write and manage POs, reconcile invoices, and track budget performance.
- Apply merchandising or buying experience to sourcing and product development.
- Cultural & Creative Insight
- Stay on top of emerging trends in product design, pop culture, live events, and celebrity hospitality.
- Bring forward ideas that help Macy's events feel fresh, relevant, and socially shareable.
- Translate these insights into product, handout, or activation concepts that drive buzz.
- Creative & Writing Support
- Draft decks, copy, and experiential collateral.
- Prepare training manuals, creative briefs, and handbooks.
- Ensure all materials align with Macy's creative vision and brand tone.
- Event Logistics & Support
- Assist with rehearsals, load-in/load-out, transportation, and credentialing.
- Support Parade, Fireworks, Flower Show, and other Macy's activations and events with on-site execution.
- Provide hospitality support for talent, partners, and VIP guests.
Skills You Will Need
- Trend Awareness: Ability to identify cultural, product, and experiential trends that can elevate Macy's events.
- Project Management: Skilled at managing requests, tracking deliverables, and owning timelines.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Comfortable negotiating contracts, sourcing products, and reconciling budgets.
- Creative Collaboration: Ability to translate creative direction into tangible products and experiences.
- Writing & Communication: Strong writing skills for creative decks, and experiential materials.
- Events & Activations: Experience working in live events, brand activations, or experiential marketing.
- Hospitality Mindset: Knowledge of VIP, celebrity, or partner experiences is a plus.
- Design Sensibility: A sharp eye for what feels current, stylish, and guest-ready.
Who You Are
- Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
- 3+ years in project management, buying/merchandising, event production, or experiential marketing.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs
