What Will You Do:

  • Follow safety policies to provide a safe workplace for all employees and supports the guiding principles of Goal Zero to continually improve the plant's safety, health and environmental performance, security, design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products.

  • Drive culture of safety; Report safety observations / incidents

  • Complies with company safety regulations and guidelines

  • Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process.

  • Plans actions to ensure error-free work by "doing it right the first time" and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties

  • Identify areas for process improvement within the roles function supporting continuous improvement

  • Present a professional manner and work closely with stakeholders to satisfy customer requirements.

  • May participate as a member of various quality teams and may assist in the development of action plans as required

  • Participate in safety meetings, planning committees and team functions

  • Perform shipping and/or receiving procedures during order fulfillment or inventory replenishment in a safe and efficient manner

  • Load and/or unload containerized and bulk materials from transport trucks and/or railcars, including sampling and obtaining required approval

  • Stage drums and totes for loading and shipping

  • Apply spill containment and clean up methods when required

  • Ensure that all vendors/contractors adhere to plant safety policies

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

  • Perform daily forklift operations and inspections

  • Loads, unload, and stores finished products, raw materials, supplies, and containers

  • Stages batches for production and shipping

  • Responsible for understanding KPI's and working as part of a TEAM toward established objectives

Position Details:

  • Plant located in Odessa, TX

  • Work week and shift: Monday - Friday 5am - 5pm (subject to change based on demands)

  • Rotating on call schedule

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED

  • Ability to operate a forklift (forklift certified)

  • Must be willing to work various shifts

  • Able to operate a computer device, either handheld or forklift mounted

  • Must have the ability to wear a respirator

  • Must have the ability to wear fall protection

  • Regular predictable attendance

  • No immigration sponsorship offered

  • All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English

Working Conditions

While performing the essential functions and/or job responsibilities of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee will also occasionally be exposed to a variety of extreme conditions and weather. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

  • Must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform essential functions and/or job responsibilities.
  • Operates in a chemical plant environment.
  • Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions - possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy weather conditions.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits.
  • Exposure to constant, or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction.
  • Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.

Physical Expectations:

  • While performing the essential functions and/or job responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the shift.

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions and/or job responsibilities of this job.

  • Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility.

  • Stand and/or sit continuously and perform essential functions and/or job responsibilities for a full shift.

  • Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

  • Physically able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing over 50 lbs. without assistance.

  • Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent will be required to talk and hear.

  • May be required to enter confined spaces.

  • May be required to work at elevated heights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 1 year of manufacturing plant experience

  • 1 year of warehouse experience

  • Proficiency in SAP
