Join Our Team as a Product and Applications Specialist at Epiroc!

Product Support Specialists provide technical support for Parts and Service Division (PSD) products and services to meet growth initiatives and drive continued customer satisfaction. They share best in class technical expertise and problem-solving skills in such a manner that has a direct impact on improving customer satisfaction and efficiency each day. The responsibility of this position relates to managing specialized work efficiently with confidence and competence. It requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks being achieved on time. This individual will take work seriously, have a strong sense of duty and discipline, and strives for continuous improvement.

The work environment in the mining and construction industries has unique and interesting challenges one won't find in other professions. It is all encompassing, anywhere from office attire one day to working in a rough and rugged environment another day in some of the most beautiful and pristine areas of the world. The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds, is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and is occasionally required to lift up to and in excess of 100 pounds. The position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Work Location:

This person will be majorly working at client locations in the Western US region. There is no specific location for this person to be based but required to be located in the proximity of a major airport due to frequent travelling requirements

Remote but frequent travel to customer sites in the Western US region

40-60 hours a week, needs flexibility

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting PSD Service Centers, Business Lines, Sales Organization, Product Companies, Product Support Technicians, Dealer Partners and end users for all MRS product lines, warranty & technical support.
• Perform technical support for customers and dealers; safety, technical and operator training will fall into this scope.
• Ensure all technical service news bulletins are acted on and resolved.
• Collaborate with Account Representatives to define critical parts to be stocked on-site at the Local Distribution Center and at the Product Company.
• Drive setup of new products in cooperation with the capital sales team while continuously maintaining existing products simultaneously.
• Communicate all relevant products, technical service and training activities and work in partnership with all Epiroc groups and customers to sustain product integrity.
• Plan, follow up, and update the resources needed, communicating swiftly to the technical team, service team, parts team, and customer as required by the situation.
• Provide warranty technical support for dealers and service centers in order to meet warranty recovery and requirement goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mining, etc.) preferred; equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered in lieu of degree, plus at least three years of related work experience in the mining or heavy equipment industries.
• Strong understanding and competence of the full mining cycle, including maintenance practices and technical field support.
• Proficiency with control and navigation systems used on Epiroc and other OEM equipment
• Proven ability to analyze complex technical data, make informed decisions, and effectively communicate in areas of specialty to all stakeholders.
• Lead by example with a strong commitment to quality, safety and accuracy with adherence to established procedures, while sharing expertise and serving as a technical authority.
• Possess or be willing to obtain required certifications from the US Department of Labor, Safe Start, and MSHA through designated training programs.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically (with occasional international travel), both by car and air.
