Genesis10 is seeking an Accountant I for a 12-month contract position for an insurance client. This position is 100% remote. Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. Job Description: The accountant will perform transactional accounting for field offices, working in JD Edwards, processing vouchers, entering journal entries, processing commissions, and period closing reconciliations every month. Will be involved in payroll, 1099 processing, training of new contractors, maintaining relationships with offices assigned, and office-specific accounting projects. This role supports the Client Field Offices across the country. Must be able to commit to the role for at least a year. Training typically takes 2+months. There may be possibilities for transition to full-time. We have a team of accountants that perform day-to-day transactional accounting, AP, commission processing, and period close. Required Skills: Must have experience with journal entries(credits/debits) and understand accounting principles Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. Must have a formal accounting education. Must be able to organize and prioritize their task while working in a dynamic environment. The candidate has to be technology savvy and know how to work with: Excel: Ability to maintain and manipulate a worksheet accurately. Outlook: Email and calendaring. This role will have frequent communication with the client field offices. Professional communication and proper grammar are required.
