Responsibilities The operations lead is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of blood collection activities to ensure donor and product safety, excellent customer service, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role will lead activities (i.e., open/close, staff assignments, QC, donor screening, phlebotomy, automation,) at fixed sites or mobile operations.
Performs all duties and responsibilities of a Donor Care Technician I-III.
Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Related Experience Two or more years in health care or customer service experience in a blood center, plasma center, or other highly regulated environment. Successful completion of Donor Care Technician levels I-III. Any combination of education, training and experience that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job. Preferred Qualifications: Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience 3-6-month experience in a lead or supervisor role preferred. Phlebotomy, Nursing and/or Medical Assistant Certificate or EMT-Preferred. Schedule: Varied work schedule. Travel throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut is required. |
