GENERAL FUNCTION

The Manager - HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic and operational partner to Rx lab leadership. This role is responsible for applying strong business acumen, workforce planning insights, and HR expertise to help drive operational performance. The HRBP Manager plays a key role in translating business needs into talent strategies, identifying trends that impact cost, productivity, and engagement, and enabling data-informed decisions through proactive HR solutions.

This role contributes to building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and leadership effectiveness, while championing HR programs that support growth, transformation, and workforce readiness.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Serve as a strategic partner to lab leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business goals and operational priorities.
  • Use business and workforce data (e.g., labor cost, productivity, attendance, retention) to diagnose problems and recommend targeted, scalable HR interventions.
  • Proactively identify workforce risks or capability gaps and develop plans that improve team performance and cost efficiency.
  • Guide leaders through change management initiatives including org design, shift redesign, restructuring, and process improvements.
  • Coach and develop people leaders in building effective teams, driving accountability, and managing performance.
  • Lead the implementation of talent management practices including career development, succession planning, and performance calibration.
  • Monitor and influence labor cost metrics by supporting proactive staffing strategies and talent pipeline planning.
  • Translate enterprise HR strategies into actionable, location-specific programs that improve outcome and drive results.
  • Facilitate effective execution of HR programs (compensation, change management, project management, learning, engagement, recruiting) while tailoring them to operational realities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and EHS to ensure a unified approach to workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's business administration/HR management/Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years' progressive HR experience in operations, logistics, manufacturing or related environment
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies/processes/programs
  • Sense of urgency & drive for results
  • Critical thinking, analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated success executing change initiatives
  • Proven ability to work across multiple functions within a matrix environment
  • Responsive, with strong interpersonal/relationship-building skills
  • Strong collaboration/teamwork; reinforces one voice of HR
  • Demonstrated ability to treat confidential matters with appropriate discretion
  • Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational/time management skills
  • Ability to maintain an enthusiastic attitude & low stress level
  • Team player with sense of urgency
  • Comfortable conversing with all levels of management (executive to store level)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • HR Business Partner / HR Manager experience experience including Associate Relations, Talent Management, Project Management, Compensation Analysis, Learning & Development, Change Manangement Experience and Recruiting
  • PHR Certification preferred


Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
