About The Position | Major Goals and Objectives and Location Requirements:

  • The Credit & Collections Manager administers the credit and collection function in compliance with Corporate and National Media Group policies to include portfolio collections, assist in discrepancy resolution, assist in credit approval/disapproval, and other related functions.

  • This position provides excellent external customer service to advertising agencies and direct accounts by developing close relationships.

  • This position also provides excellent internal customer service by working closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations personnel.

  • The Credit & Collections Manager takes an active role in the Media Industry through participation in trade credit groups.

  • In addition, the incumbent performs special projects/reports as needed.

Schedule Requirements:

Hybrid 3x a week - New York, NY

In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

About The Position's Contributions:

Weight % Accountabilities, Actions, and Expected Measurable Results

  • 75% Oversees collection of a National Media Group receivables portfolio

  • 15% Discrepancy resolution

  • 5% Manages credit lines and exposure of account portfolio

  • 5% Provides departmental reports and participates in special projects

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.

Experience:
Five years experience in commercial credit and collections, preferably in media industry.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to investigate, analyze and resolve complex credit/collections issues.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, with emphasis on Excel spreadsheets.

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $80,000.00 - $92,500.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
