Overview
The Dev/Ops Engineering Manager will serve as a critical hire within the VNS Health SciTech team, driving the centralization and optimization of all internal tooling to support seamless collaboration and operational efficiency across Product, Engineering, and Business teams. This highly strategic, hands-on role will leverage extensive experience in enterprise technology environments, spanning internal tooling, DevOps, systems integration, infrastructure, platforms and quality assurance leadership.This individual will assess the current tool landscape, eliminate redundancies, implement standardized productivity platforms, automate workflows, and ensure data integrity and security across integrated systems. As the environment matures, the role will build and oversee a dedicated quality function, integrating advanced automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, and developing metrics that drive continuous improvement in product reliability and user experience.This position is pivotal in laying the technical groundwork for VNS Health's product and IT evolution and will directly influence the scalability, quality, and success of our technology transformation.

What You Will Do
- Conducts comprehensive assessments of all internal tools and applications across the SciTech team to identify gaps, redundancies, and integration opportunities.
- Designs and implements a unified internal tooling strategy to centralize platforms and improve efficiency.
- Standardizes and optimizes core productivity, collaboration, and development tools across Product, Engineering, and Business teams.
- Automates workflows to accelerate product development, business operations, and data reporting.
- Ensures data integrity, compliance, and security in all integrated systems and workflows.
- Collaborates closely with product managers, engineers, and business leaders to ensure high adoption rates and measurable efficiency gains.
- Establishes governance, documentation, and best practices for internal tool usage and maintenance.
- Builds and leads a dedicated Quality Assurance function within the Product organization.
- Integrates advanced automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline for rapid, reliable releases.
- Develops and maintains robust quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for leadership visibility.
- Oversees continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, testing coverage, and product reliability.
- Collaborates with engineering leadership to evolve DevOps strategies that enhance deployment speed, system stability, and scalability.
- Mentors and guides technical team members, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and innovation
- Partners with stakeholders to align QA and DevOps priorities with product roadmaps and organizational goals.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience required
Work Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise technology roles spanning internal tooling, DevOps, systems engineering, and/or quality assurance required
- Proven success in leading large-scale tool consolidation and optimization initiatives across cross-functional teams required
- Expertise in workflow automation, systems integration, and data security best practices required
- Strong background with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and scripting for automation required
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams, including QA functions required
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, scalability, and product/Engineering/IT quality required
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience partnering closely with business stakeholders, product management, engineering, and business leadership required
- Proficiency in automated testing frameworks, performance monitoring tools, and advanced quality metrics required
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to guide cross-functional teams through change and transformation required
- Proven ability to effectively lead Engineering & QA Product Teams, coaching and mentoring engineers required
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling QA functions, including establishing testing frameworks, coverage strategies, and quality metrics required
- Strong communication skills, capable of influencing executive stakeholders and gaining alignment across diverse technical and business teams preferred
- Experience commercializing technology products preferred
Pay Range
USD $122,300.00 - USD $164,000.00 /Yr.
