Your tasks

  • Oversee daily receiving operations for raw materials, consumables, and returnable racks.
  • Ensure all inbound shipments are unloaded, inspected, and recorded promptly.
  • Verify deliveries against ASNs, purchase orders, and packing lists for accuracy.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor receiving clerks, forklift drivers, and material handlers.
  • Assign work priorities and adjust staffing based on delivery schedules.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee skill development.
  • Ensure timely posting of goods receipts in ERP/WMS systems (SAP preferred).
  • Maintain accurate location records and track material movements.
  • Resolve receiving discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Material Flow & Inventory Control
  • Ensure FIFO, lot control, and segregation rules are followed in receiving areas.
  • Coordinate with production and logistics to route materials to correct storage or staging areas.
  • Support cycle counting and inventory audits in receiving zones.
  • Manage inspections, cleaning, and repair reporting for returnable racks/totes.
  • Track missing or damaged returnable assets with suppliers or packaging coordinators.
  • Work with Quality to isolate and document non-conforming materials.
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and industry standards (IATF 16949).
  • Maintain accurate receiving documentation for audits and traceability.
  • Track and report KPIs such as truck unloading time, goods receipt posting time, and inventory accuracy.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Lead 5S initiatives in the receiving area.
  • Enforce forklift and dock safety protocols, PPE usage, and safe material handling.
  • Maintain clean, organized receiving docks and buffer areas.


Your profile

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of warehouse/logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in JIT manufacturing or automotive supply chain preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of receiving processes, inventory control, and material flow.
  • Ability to interpret shipping documents, ASNs, and quality requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment as needed.
  • Regular interaction with production teams and material handling areas.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the facility.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) and exposure to factory noise and temperature variations.
  • Standard business hours with occasional flexibility based on operational needs.
