Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Enterprise Data Operations Director to lead, scale, and elevate our data infrastructure, governance, and operational excellence. In this role, you'll guide the end-to-end lifecycle of data across the organization - ensuring it's accessible, high-quality, and compliant - while empowering business intelligence, analytics, and data science teams to deliver impactful insights. Your leadership will shape our data strategy, foster cross-functional collaboration, and position data as a core driver of business success.


Key Responsibilities


Lead the Data Operations team, including data engineers and platform administrators.


Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and platforms.


Contribute to the development and monitoring of data governance policies, including data quality, lineage, and metadata management.


Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to align data operations with organizational goals.


Drive operational efficiency through automation, monitoring, and performance tuning.


Monitor compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal security standards.


Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new tools and technologies for data operations.


Develop and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness and reliability of data systems.



Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Minimum 10 years of experience in data engineering, data operations, or related roles


Experience leading cross-functional teams and stakeholder management


Proven experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse)


Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data lake architectures


Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Apache Atlas)


Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills


Experience with DataOps and DevOps for data (CI/CD, infrastructure as code)


Knowledge of data security best practices and compliance frameworks.


Background in agile methodologies and project management


Certification in Snowflake, Microsoft Azure or other relevant technologies


Experience with the design and development of reusable data models using star schemas and slowly changing dimensions, enabling self-service reporting across business units and reducing time to insight.


Development of comprehensive quality assurance testing frameworks for data pipelines, including unit tests, integration tests, and data validation rules with automated execution in CI/CD workflows.
