Presentation Designer

The OpenAI Design Studio plays a central role in shaping and expressing OpenAI's brand identity. We bridge product development, communications, and marketing-crafting cohesive storytelling and brand representation across every touchpoint. Our team is responsible for translating the complexity of advanced AI into accessible, impactful visual narratives that reflect our values of transparency, authenticity, and curiosity.

Communicating the progress and promise of AGI is some of the most important work at OpenAI-and we aim to do it with clarity, creativity, and integrity.

We're looking for a Presentation Designer to create compelling, visually polished presentation materials for internal and external audiences. This role blends storytelling, design craft, and strategic thinking to ensure our messaging is clear, engaging, and on-brand. You'll work closely with leaders across the company-executives, marketing, communications, and product teams-to distill complex ideas into presentations that resonate with a wide range of stakeholders, from employees to global audiences.

This is a hands-on design role that requires both creative vision and meticulous attention to detail. You'll own the development of templates, visual systems, and individual decks, while also contributing to the evolution of our broader brand expression.

• Design, refine, and produce high-impact presentations for executive talks, product launches, internal communications, and external events.

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, visually compelling narratives.

• Partner closely with executives, product teams, and marketing to align visual storytelling with strategic goals.

• Develop and maintain a library of on-brand templates, graphics, and visual assets to ensure consistency and scalability.

• Incorporate data visualizations, imagery, and motion where relevant to enhance clarity and engagement.

• Manage multiple projects with shifting priorities while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

• Have 4+ years of professional experience in presentation design, visual communication, or related fields.

• Possess a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional storytelling, layout, and typography skills.

• Are highly proficient in tools like Google Slides, Keynote, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop).

• Understand how to adapt content and design for different audiences, contexts, and formats.

• Have experience working cross-functionally with senior leadership and multiple stakeholders.

• Are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Bonus: have motion design or data visualization experience.
