Where you will work: This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% remote and is based out of the Bloomington, IL; Naperville, IL; Mankato, MN; Lakeville, MN; Sun Prairie, WI office locations and open to any Compeer location.

The contributions you will make: This position supports the Asset Liability and Capital Management functions at Compeer by analyzing financial data, optimizing funding and product offerings, monitoring interest rate risk (IRR) and capital position, developing and executing capital management strategies, and supporting the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO). Delivers strategic insights and provides thorough analysis related to financial markets.

A typical day:



  • Develops and enhances ALCO reporting. This includes items such as pricing, IRR, foreign currency risk, investments, liquidity, funding and interest rate trends.
  • Conducts in-depth research of differential funding programs and product offerings, providing insights to ALCO, and manages implementation as needed.
  • Collaborates with the Pricing and Profitability team in order to optimize pricing execution.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the IRR model.
  • Forms a view on the macro-economy and interest rates, shares knowledge across the organization and with clients via various methods (presentation, email update, etc.).
  • Assists in the administration of ALCO meetings and governance.
  • Monitors and evaluates the association's capital position and performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of capital strategies in alignment with the association's capital plan and regulatory requirements. Capital strategies may include things such as asset pool sales, loan securitizations, risk transfers, and raising capital from external investors.
  • Supports relationships with rating agencies, investment banking firms, and regulators in order to execute capital strategies.
  • Conducts scenario modeling and due diligence of patronage strategies for the board of directors.
  • Aggregates information, analyzes data, and contributes insights toward the organization's Board Capital Plan.
  • Collaborates with the Pricing and Profitability team in order to champion capital efficiency.
  • Conducts detailed financial analysis to support decisions.
  • Collaborates with internal teams such as finance, risk management, legal, sales and operations as well as AgriBank and Farm Credit System partners.
  • Assist with regulatory compliance requirements and requests.
  • Monitors market trends and economic indicators to inform strategies.
  • Develops a strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.


The skills and experience we prefer you have:



  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, MBA) is preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in financial analysis, structured finance, treasury, asset liability, or capital management at a financial institution.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Strong knowledge of banking, financial concepts and instruments.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and the macro-economy.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Detail oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
  • This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a passion for financial markets.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.

$73,700 - $124,500 USD
