We are looking for someone who can oversee the day-to-day needs of the Corrosion Technician Team in the Southeast Region, including their resource and time planning. Provides Technical guidance for System Optimization and Troubleshooting. Understands the needs of natural gas transmission business and have a strong understanding of operations practices and strategies to support the business model.

Here's what you will do:

  • Oversees the maintenance, repairs, optimization and improvement of the Impressed Current Cathodic Protection system (ICCP) in the Southeast Region of Enbridge's Gas Transmission and Midstream (GTM) System, covering approximately 3,000 miles.

  • Understands and apply all applicable CFR 192, MEGA Rule, AMPP best practices, and other regulations and requirements to which the system is subject.

  • Responsible for the Operator Qualification (OQ) compliance of the Corrosion Technician Team, including applicable training and assessment needs.

  • Participates in Mid and Year-End Performance Reviews, in collaboration with the Supervisor of Region Pipeline.

  • Participates as a Key Stakeholder in the identification, scoping, and estimation of Capital Projects necessary for the maintenance and optimization of the ICCP system and the Above Ground Piping Coatings in the Region.

  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to determine Systemic, Non-Systemic, and Root causes affecting the External Corrosion prevention system.

  • Reviews, approves, and assists the Corrosion Technician team in the procurement of replacement parts and equipment.

  • Participates in Technical Reviews of Expansion Assets, such as Pipelines, Interconnects, and Compressor Stations.

  • Collaborates with Regional Engineering Team in the Scoping, Technical Deviation Processes, and prioritization of Above Ground Recoat Projects.

  • Schedules, prioritizes, and adjusts field resources to meet Business needs.

  • Participates in the preparation and screening portions of Regulatory Audits (PHMSA, TXRRC, LADNR, etc..)

  • Conducts field visits to support Corrosion Technician Team, Project Support, and Asset Maintenance, as needed.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field related to Oil and Gas

  • Minimum of 7 years of Experience in Corrosion-related functions specific to Oil & Gas

  • Expertise in field Technical Support

  • Valid Driver's of CFR 192 and other relevant codes

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 10 years of Experience in Oil & Gas

  • Experience in Leadership functions, especially with Field-level Employees.

  • Competencies: computer, communication, negotiation, purchasing, etc.

  • Good technical background. Experience in Pipeline Integrity and Field Operations.

  • Certifications in Corrosion-Specific functions accepted by the Industry: NACE/AMPP Level 2 or Higher

  • Time in the field may include exposure to extreme hot or cold weather environments that are noisy and dirty at on-going construction sites

Working Conditions:
  • An Office based position with large amounts of field time to support and understand Area Operations needs.

  • Some travel may be required

Included but not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 25 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
