Senior Direct Mail Specialist- Virtual

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Production Consultation Services

  • Provide production consulting advice to the creative and marketing team at the design/planning stage of a project. Provide recommendations and pricing estimates on ways to produce each project cost effectively within budget. Provide advice on ways to reduce costs and cycle time while maintaining high quality standards keeping the integrity of the creative approach and marketing effectiveness.

Production Implementation Services

  • Manage marketing projects produced with outside vendors to meet budget, deadlines and quality standards for mail, inserts, collateral, fulfillment, and premiums.
  • Review all projects and select best production methods and suppliers to ensure all programs are produced cost effectively, on time and at high quality. Track and document cost savings by project by business unit.
  • Develop production schedules for each project from concept through final output for direct response and sales support marketing.
  • Prepare print, data processing and lettershop specifications and schedules and communicate that information to outside vendors to accurately execute each project accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Coordinate multiple direct marketing project schedules, quality review and production implementation tasks for Affinity. Monitor workflow, performance and production utilizing project management software and Aon Time Tracking.
  • Problem solving - research and explore options to address challenges in reducing production costs, meeting tight production timeframes and developing ways to produce smaller or more targeted offers more cost effectively.

Production Vendor Relationships

  • Facilitate relationships with outside print, data processing and lettershop vendors. Monitor and assess Aon-approved vendor performance to ensure they provide competitive costs, timely service and meet strict quality performance standards.
  • Provide Marketing with recommendations to improve effectiveness of print, data processing, lettershop and premiums procurement.
  • Manage production procurement of assigned projects totaling $4 million annually utilizing competitive bidding and selection of best supplier for the project based on price, capabilities, service.
  • Assist in managing postal budget annually, by understanding and anticipating change in the USPS rates and regulations and implementing opportunities for cost savings.

Program Cost Estimates and Invoices

  • Provide timely production cost estimates to Marketing on projects assigned. Actively partner with all stakeholders to drive & deliver effective creative material and cost effective solutions.
  • Process invoices for approval and provide cost reporting and analysis in an accurate, timely manner. Includes review of production cost reports by project to ensure accuracy.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $65,000 to $95,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive[an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
