Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma- Day Shift, but flexible hours based on business need

This position will serve as the Regional Hospital Laboratory Manager for Woodward, Enid, and Ponca City Oklahoma.

Essential Functions of Employment with DLO:

The Laboratory Manager has the overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, evaluation, and supervision of all technical and/or operational activities and staff members in the hospital laboratories. Responsible for performing duties so as to operate the lab with the highest quality safety and integrity, and in an efficient, economical and businesslike manner are of utmost importance.



Responsibilities:

BS degree in Medical Technology or equivalent. Applicant must demonstrate a broad knowledge of the technical aspects of the tests performed in the Clinical Laboratory, including Transfusion Medicine and possess the ability to lead employees in daily activities as well as interact with medical staff and hospital leaders regarding these services, all with a positive attitude. Ability to stay abreast of the latest innovations in test methodologies.



Qualifications:

Minimum requirements - 8 years in a Clinical Laboratory, including experience in Supervisory capacity, with proven leadership skills. CAP inspection preparedness experience and CAP inspection team member training and experience preferred. Project Management experience preferred but not required.

MT/MLS(ASCP) or equivalent certification. Must be willing to travel for in person site visits on a scheduled weekly recurring basis. Must have interpersonal skills to gain cooperation with other departments and foster continuous improvements. Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements, including weekends, and holidays. Must demonstrate good organizational and communication skills and be able to address client concerns and employees in a professional manner. Must be able to make independent decisions and handle multiple priorities in a high volume setting. Must be able to organize and lead projects both within the work group and with cross functional group. Must be willing to actively participate in DLO and Integris continuous improvement/special projects. This position will be require some aspect of Technical Supervisor delegation responsibilities.
