We're seeking a Managing Director in Atlanta in Public Sector to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.

SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Managing Director to join our Public Sector Consulting team. In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage a team of consultants, working closely with public sector clients to deliver innovative solutions and drive impactful results. Your expertise will help shape the future of public services, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and excellence in every project.

YOU WILL:




  • Lead a team in sustaining current relationships as well as developing new opportunities and growth within the Atlanta, Georgia account through hands-on involvement in delivering with quality, client satisfaction, risk management, managing financials, and effectively engaging teams.



  • Build strong partnerships, authentic relationships, becoming trusted advisors with client leadership, managing the overall relationship(s).



  • Have knowledge of legislative processes and/or ability to quickly learn how policy decisions and funding lead to opportunities with our clients.



  • Critical thinking when selling and developing opportunities and managing the account including working with internal and external stakeholders.



  • Continuously assess and mitigate client risk.



  • Drive business expansion by identifying and nurturing new engagement opportunities.



  • Develop compelling and targeted account strategies that drive new account opportunities leading to growth.



  • Apply practical approaches to solving business problems.



  • Be a thought leader by continuing to develop your professional network through association memberships, speaking, and writing engagements, and community activities.



  • Foster company-wide culture shaping conversations with vision, expertise, and navigating complex business environments with political savvy and empathy.



  • Develop the next generation of company leaders.



  • Function as a change-maker championing fresh ideas leading efforts to innovate.



  • Ability to translate business goals into actionable plans which deliver results and desired outcomes.



  • Serve as a critical thinker and advisor, at an Enterprise level, for a large Medicaid Program Modular Transformation in a release management/agile environment.



  • Manage a large team supporting Program/Project/Release Management, Testing, Organization Change Management.




  • System Integrator experience.




  • Experience working in a multi-vendor environment.




  • Understand how to enable a business to achieve objectives through the effective use of technology.




  • Work closely with C-Suite clients to execute the transformation strategy and vision across business units and, as applicable, other State agencies.




  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.




  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks, including reporting and escalating RAID (Risk, Action Items, Issues, Decisions) items effectively through Governance.




  • Coordinate internal resources as needed by bringing the right resources as the transformation evolves.




  • Ensure delivery excellence and value in our services and work products.




  • Set deadlines, assign roles and responsibilities, and monitor the progress of project/program and releases.




  • Monitor changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.




  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.




  • Prepare reports regarding status of project for both internal and external review.




  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.




  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation at the appropriate level by audience such as executive and legislative reports.




  • Provide project content expertise, which may include delivering presentations about the transformation and communicating the purpose, value, and importance.




  • Oversee complete program/project lifecycle.




  • Coordinate across module vendors as it relates to project management reporting, release management, testing, and OCM; Facilitate open dialogue between and among solution and support vendors.




  • Coordinate a regular cadence of North Highland team meetings (e.g., All Hands meetings for the accounts, team lead meetings across Release Management. Testing, and OCM).




  • Establish a culture of continuous quality improvement.



IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:




  • Over 10 years of management consulting industry experience, with experience in senior leadership or as a senior executive level.



  • 5 years of experience in healthcare, Medicaid, or public health sectors, ideally working with IT systems or digital transformation projects.



  • More than 10 years of business development experience in Public Sector and/or ability to show relatable experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.



  • Proven success in leading new business development opportunities and selling solutions for existing and new Public Sector clients, including proposal development experience and/or relatable experience and ability to adapt to the Public Sector business development process.



  • Experience with large, complex procurement-led opportunities and developing and selling opportunities on Statements of Work (SOWs).



  • Familiarity with the Public Sector at the State or Local Government level and/or ability to quickly adapt to the Public Sector environment.



  • Demonstrated success in leading a geographically distributed team.



  • Experience in running engagements, managing teams, and driving desired business outcomes throughout delivery, with the ability to identify gaps and omissions.



  • A track record of leading large, complex consulting engagements, involving building and fostering relationships with senior-level client executives.



  • Ability to establish credibility, build consensus, and activate collaboration with clients and teammates authentically.



  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.



  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university. A master's degree and/or professional certificates are bonuses.



  • PMI Certified Project Management Professional
