Advanced Electrical Engineer
$75.00-$80.00 per hour (DOE)
Due to the nature of the work our client does, US citizenship is required

Here's what you'd do:

  • This position involves interacting with optical, mechanical, and software design teams to assist in the overall development of systems
  • Planning and leading electrical engineering root cause analysis for electrical issues
  • Conducting experimental tests
  • Evaluating results to formulate and implement solutions to issues
  • Contributing to the generation and maintenance of documentation
  • Specifying, selecting, and qualifying active and passive components
  • Developing and benchmarking system performance models
  • Developing and implementing test procedures, evaluating and selecting appropriate test instrumentation.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Science or Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering and computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical assembly and test, communications-related tools (BERT, sampling oscilloscope, OSA)
  • Minimum 5 years of High-speed and mixed-signal RF design experience (A/D, D/A, opamp).
  • Minimum 5 years of Panel and power electronics design experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with R&D rapid turnaround, including concept, design, modeling, prototype, vendor interface, and test
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in leading small teams, interacting with customers, and presenting technical information to a variety of audiences
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Proven mixed signal circuit design and analysis skills.
  • HyperLynx, Cadence, or LTspice
  • Xpedition or Allegro
  • Data rates 3 Gbps and above
  • SMPS, power entry modules, and transient suppression
  • Familiarity with software development. C++, Matlab, VHDL, Python
  • Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design
  • Collaborative team player committed to ongoing professional development for themselves and others
