Job Posting Title: Manager, Facility Maintenance

Time Type: Full Time

This position is responsible effectively managing our facilities so our staff can take care of our customers' needs and our shops can ensure trucks and trailers are serviced and repaired in a timely manner. Effective management of the terminal and corporate facilities will enable quality, safe equipment with which our driver team members can deliver freight on time for our customers.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES



  • Effectively select, train and develop, and retain team members to properly maintain all terminal facilities.
  • Management of cost related to maintenance of terminal facilities that meet or exceed budgetary guidelines.
  • Responsible to design jobs, set priorities, plan work, set performance standards and monitor results.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
  • Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.



Qualifications and Education Requirements



  • 2 year degree in associated trades or 5 years facility management experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.



Preferred Skills



  • Knowledge of proper craftsmanship techniques, tools, and required safety standards.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning methods, tools, and required safety standards.
  • Knowledge of proper repair methods, tools, and required safety standards.
  • Effective team-building.
  • Effective communication laterally, upward, and downward (often through multiple organizational layers).
  • Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
  • Ability to promote a culture of trust and safety.



Working conditions

This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required to:



  • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently operate a computer for extended periods of time and regularly operate other office productivity machines.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend stairs and move up to 20 pounds of office objects.
  • Frequently communicate with peers, supervisors, third parties, and other employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions.
  • Occasionally attend meetings in buildings outside corporate office and at off-site locations with various internal conditions, and requiring travel in various external conditions.
  • Travel domestically as necessary.
