As a Material Handler at Lam, you play a crucial role in the efficient coordination of materials from shipping and receiving to storing and distributing. Your attention to detail in checking and processing goods, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate records are essential to Lam's commitment to operational excellence.

In this role, you will directly contribute to the success of Lam's Global Products Engineering team.

• Direct the activities of teammates involved in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and fulfillment of merchandise, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
• Oversee counting, weighing, and measuring incoming or outgoing items to verify against records.
• Review and manage customer orders, including distribution of products to appropriate inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines.
• Authorize special orders, fills orders, and issues materials; documents transactions, prepares requisitions and computes costs.
• Determine appropriate shipment method-based industry knowledge.
• Partner with shipper to correct incoming shipments quality or shortage errors.
• Operate a sit-down forklift as needed.
• Provide guidance on complex procedures, and role model continuous improvement to peers.
• Support a safe work environment by following safe work practices, utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following Lockout Tagout (LOTO) policies and procedures.

• 6+ years of related experience with a Technical Certificate or Diploma.
• Knowledge of computerized or automated system operations.
• Experience operating automotive, materials handling, and office equipment to lift heavy packages and objects.
• Frequently position oneself (e.g., bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist, squat, kneel, climb, stand) to perform job tasks for extended periods including moving materials weighing up to 35 pounds.

• Material handling experience is preferred.
• Material handling equipment (MHE) trained or certified - Forklift preferred
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles
• Lean Six Sigma White Belt certification.
• Associates Degree in a related field is nice to have.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
