Reports to: Director of Strategic Solutions Group


Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)

Job Objective: We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Lead Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance system administration, user support, and project management while enhancing our Salesforce platform's functionality. The ideal candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure Salesforce solutions meet business needs and drive user adoption.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the day-to-day administration of the Salesforce platform, including user management, security settings, and system maintenance.
  • Lead discovery sessions and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and architect and implement effective Salesforce solutions that support business processes.
  • Build User Stories that are clear, concise and include acceptance criteria and serve as artifacts for the admin and development teams.
  • Analyze complex business processes and recommend technical solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Design and manage custom applications, reports, and dashboards to optimize user experience and data insights.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolve issues escalated from the administration team.
  • Provide root cause analysis for issues post resolution.
  • Act as liaison between stakeholders and developers with deep technical knowledge of Salesforce as well as strong understanding of business process.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases and best practices, recommending enhancements based on changes and improvements.
  • Oversee integrations with other systems and ensure data integrity across platforms.
  • Engage in ongoing project initiatives and contribute to overall Salesforce strategy and roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, to support system configurations and integrations.
  • Build POCs and demos, provide regression testing, unit testing and UAT guidance as well as hypercare post-deployment
  • Serve as SME and provide education and support for train the trainer
  • Actively participate as a mentor, trainer, and resource for other team members
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:



  • 10+ years of experience in Salesforce administration, with a proven track record of leading configurations and enhancements.
  • Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder certifications required, and at least one architecture certification - (Data Architect, Sharing and Visibility Architect)
  • Sales Cloud Consultant and Service Cloud Consultant strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model and best practices, including practical knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web components.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce development life cycles and agile methodologies, demonstrating an ability to design solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Proven experience in user training, support, and change management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience with architectural design principles and frameworks in Salesforce, including multi-tenancy and scalability considerations.
  • Knowledge of integration patterns and tools, including APIs, ETL processes, and middleware technologies.
  • Experience in a lead or mentoring role
  • Ability to manage large data sets, map, deduplicate and import records
  • Salesforce enterprise management with CPQ, Docusign, billing, other Salesforce managed packages and integrated platforms.
  • DevOps tools experience and release management


Preferred:



  • Oil & Gas Industry Experience
  • CPQ experience
