P1 Service, LLC., is seeking aMaintenance Carpenter to join our FMO Division.

What you'll do:

The incumbent's essential duties are listed below. When necessary, additional duties may be assigned, and P1 Service expects the incumbent to exercise initiative to anticipate and prevent problems.
  • Service batteries (Lead acid, Nicad, Lead Calcium)
  • Perform periodic switchgear maintenance of relays and control switches; troubleshoot switchgear circuits and control switches; replace circuit components (instrument meters, surge protectors, relays, control switches).
  • Troubleshoot motors, motor control circuits, across the line starters, reduce voltage starters (auto transformer, resister), reversing starters, and electrical systems in hazardous locations, battery banks and chargers.
  • Install disconnects lights, devices and electrical panels; install motors, motor control circuits, electrical systems in hazardous locations and transformers; install battery banks, battery chargers and switch gear; install intrusion alarm systems and grounding systems in general facilities.
  • Calculate power requirements for electrical systems (conductors, protective devices, physical protection)
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, appliances, systems, facilities, and related electrical controls and devices.
  • Perform specified preventive maintenance and testing of equipment including fire detection and fire suppression.
  • Ability to oversee and work on the fire detection systems and fire suppression systems as needed. Operate and maintain medium voltage emergence power systems. Including emergency generators, automatic transfer switches and medium voltage electrical distribution switch gear. Operate and maintain Swiss Log tube transport systems. Including blowers, transfer units and stations in a multi building multi point system.
  • Receive training and off-site factory certification in the systems you are tasked to maintain.
  • Support the testing and documentation for both joint commission and State Fire Marshall compliance.
  • Operate and maintain a multi-building, multi-point building fire sprinkler suppression system including AFFF helipad foam suppression systems, fire pumps, and both pre-action and dry suppression systems.
  • Perform prescribed non-destructive tests; collect and report deficiencies as well as document all tests using both computer and handwritten logs.
  • Interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location and operation of the system(s).

Qualifications

Education Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of 1 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician. Intermediate level of knowledge on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical equipment and fire / life safety code.
  • Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; maintains confidentiality; listens to others without interrupting; keeps emotions under control; remains open to other' ideas and try new things.
  • The incumbent must have basic computer skills. This will be posted for 5 business days excluding holidays and weekends.
  • Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; able to read and interpret written information.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License. Driving may be a requirement of this position. If so, an acceptable DMV is required.
Upon offer of position, you are required to provide the following:
  • Medical records showing up-to-date tuberculosis (TB) test or authorization for new TB testing.
  • Medical records showing up-to-date vaccinations or proof of immunity regarding the vaccination list below. If no immunity, then authorization for new vaccinations or a signed declination is required regarding the vaccination list below. Vaccinations are measles, mumps, rubella (combined MMR), chickenpox (Varicella), tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis (Tdap), and Hepatitis B.
  • Annual vaccination forinfluenza (flu) is required during flu season or medical proof of flu vaccine allergy and signed declination.
