Pay: $90,000 - $115,000 annually, depending on experience & qualifications

Position Summary

The Director of the Community Care Connection (CCC) program reports to the Rosalind Franklin University Health Clinics and Clinical Immunology Laboratory (RFUHC/CIL) Vice President of Clinical Services. The position leads efforts to engage and deliver health care services to the underserved, and underinsured members of Lake County, while developing and fostering partnerships within the communities, the university, and RFUHC/CIL leadership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads and is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the operations of the CCC program and all services provided by the Mobile Clinic (Care Coach) and Electric Vehicle fleet.
  • Coordinates and leads annual, monthly, and quarterly budget reviews and periodic forecast updates with the VP of Clinical Services.
  • Develops and implements strategic and tactical plans to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Develops and implements consistent clinical, administrative, inventory and cost accounting policies, procedures, and reporting/metrics.
  • Foster, develop and maintain relationships with community leaders and organizations.
  • Work directly with community partners and university colleges/programs to provide clinical and community service opportunities for student, faculty and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the ICC Director of Clinical & Community Outreach and the RFU Health Equity Alignment group to create partnership opportunities for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Serve on committees as appropriate, to create increased visibility and impact to the communities the CCC serve.
  • Identify and develop additional partnerships to expand CCC within the community.
  • Leads and/or assists with identifying potential philanthropic opportunities for the growth and expansion of the program in collaboration with the RFU Institutional Advancement team.
  • Responsible for ensuring that services and funding relationships are robust to meet or exceed strategic goals and objectives.
  • Function as the lead representative at CCC community activities, events and functions.
  • Supervises, guides, and directs health screenings and health care delivery methods at scheduled community events.
  • Identify, develop and support a variety of health care delivery opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain key systems and processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Responsible for ensuring that duties are performed proficiently in accordance with the policies and procedures of RFUHC and RFUMS.
  • Retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides career coaching, growth, and personal development for direct/indirect employees.
  • Effectively communicate the mission, vision, goals and achievements of the CCC.

Conditions of Employment

  • Active State of Illinois license with no restrictions.

Required Education & Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role (Manager or Higher).

Director Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Licensed to consult, assess and deliver direct patient care in compliance with local, state and federal regulations preferred.
  • Organizes and participates in community outreach among cultural organizations, diverse stakeholders and/or community partners/leaders.
  • Knowledge and experience to address the impact of social determinant of health.
  • Knowledge of local, state, federal and other regulatory agency laws, rules, regulations, and policies in healthcare administration to ensure compliance.
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of primary care program development and administration.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures of supervision, training, and personnel management in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of strategies to encourage new or increased donations and contributions for community distribution.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and dynamic approach with opportunities and challenges.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel Google Suite or similar education platform).
  • Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities and prioritizing tasks.
  • Flexible and takes initiative to complete tasks with a strong skillset to engage others.
  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of clinical experience in Family Medicine * Advance Practice Provider in Family Medicine, equivalent, or higher.
