The Lean Specialist will perform professional quality duties through the deployment of Lean concepts and projects; participates in optimization, methods and process development. Responsibilities may include creating and implementing lean projects and approaches, identifying and auditing the processes and improvements and performing project management (scope, timelines, communications, etc.). This role is based out of Nicholasville, KY and would require this individual to be on site regularly.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supports Operations to achieve improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost by planning, implementing and sustaining lean events

• Develops annual Lean goals for the plant

• Manages Lean projects to ensure progress is met on initiatives

• Accountable for meeting Lean initiative objectives in the plant

• Trains participants to collect metrics and develops metrics reporting format

• Trains and supports: Standard Work, 5S plans, Action plans

• Ensures that process flow diagrams are recorded in Visio and validated

• Facilitates Lean Kaizen events

• Supports Kaizen Owner to implement action items

• Assists with Special reviews, projects or acquisitions as assigned or as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in a related field

• 1+ year of value stream, Kaizen, continuous improvement or lean experience

• 1+ year demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel utilizing cart and graphic capability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

• 2+ years of continuous improvement, process improvement, lean or six sigma experience

• Experience supporting Lean and Kaizen training or other training programs

• Demonstrated leadership skills

• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with highly detailed information

• Strong systems aptitude

• Project Management skills

• Experience with Oracle

• Strong knowledge of audit procedures and framework

• Broad overall knowledge of corporate-wide accounting, financial and operational activities
