Job Summary: |
Women's, Infant's, and Families Behavioral Health Section of the Department of Psychiatry is excited to hire a Business Services Section Manager to help lead strategic, operational, and fiscal responsibilities of this section. One of the largest and most comprehensive behavioral health programs for Women in the country, this role will help expand access to patients across Colorado for a lifespan approach to women's behavioral health. This job will work closely with the Co-Directors of the section to assist in fiscal management, clinical operations, and strategy and development. The Business Services Section Manager will lead conversations with hospital and community partners at UCHealth, Children's Hospital, Community Practice and CU School of Medicine. This role will manage a diverse portfolio of funding sources including clinical revenue, grants, advancement, and contract income. They will work closely with partners to oversee clinical operations, including productivity, new clinical programs, referral activities, and revenue cycle. Lastly, this manager will directly oversee research services within the section to ensure pre and post award compliance and budget management. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage administrative staff and faculty through recruitment processes, onboarding, performance management, and professional development. Assist in strategic positioning through marketing, outreach, and collaboration with UCHealth, Children's Hospital Colorado, CU Community Practices, and community partners. Oversee section financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, fund management, financial reporting, and analysis. Manage diverse portfolio of funding sources including grants, advancement, contracts, and clinical revenue. Maintain strong communication and alliance with department leadership, hospital leadership, and community practice leadership for new developments and partnerships. Partner with CU medicine, Community Practice, and clinical leadership to optimize billing, productivity, and revenue cycle performance. Work with research personnel and principal investigators through pre and post award processes.

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Five (5) years of professional experience in fiscal management, clinical operations, and revenue cycle.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in business, business administration, finance, public/healthcare administration, or a directly related field is highly preferred. Knowledge and experience in EPIC, Peoplesoft, and Power BI. Experience in an academic medical setting. Project management experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills. Strong interpersonal skills to include empathy, active listening, and emotional intelligence. Ability to establish work priorities and provide follow-through to insure completion of activities, both personally and in subordinates.

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $73,491 - $93,480. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
