Job Summary

The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating technology-based projects through the development, execution, and maintenance of comprehensive project plans. This role ensures deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of accountability for project execution, coordinating resources, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to established project management methodologies. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, initiative, and the ability to adapt methodologies to meet evolving business needs.

Job Responsibilities




  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects, including scope, timelines, and deliverables.



  • Develop, maintain, and revise detailed project plans and task lists to meet changing requirements.



  • Coordinate project resources, assign responsibilities, and ensure alignment with objectives.



  • Monitor project budgets and provide updates with guidance and direction as needed.



  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, maintaining a mitigation plan and escalating critical issues when necessary.



  • Create implementation schedules and coordinate production moves.



  • Apply and enforce standardized project management methodologies, ensuring all documentation and quality assurance procedures are current and accurate.



  • Track and report project metrics, including team hours, expenses, and progress updates.



  • Prepare and conduct regular engagement reviews and ensure appropriate project closure with all required artifacts.



  • Facilitate regular team and customer meetings, ensuring effective communication across stakeholders and project sponsors.



  • Collaborate closely with relationship managers and senior leadership to align project objectives with organizational goals.



  • Champion process improvement and innovation by identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency and enhanced outcomes.




Job Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; Associate's degree with equivalent experience considered.



  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years managing IT or technology-focused projects.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint.



  • Ability to quickly understand and manage projects impacting varied technologies.



  • Strong leadership, mentoring, organizational, and communication skills.



  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, take initiative, and manage competing priorities effectively.



  • Ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels, including senior leadership.



  • Proven success in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.



  • Must be dependable, proactive, and capable of functioning with minimal supervision.




Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills and Technologies




  • Experience with Smartsheet.



  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.



  • Experience with Azure DevOps.




Education




  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.



  • Associate's degree with relevant experience considered.




Work Experience




  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in IT project management.
