Essential Job Duties
The primary purpose of this position will be to serve as liaison between K-12 partners and pre-service teachers.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and facilitate mock interviews and professional development workshops for current students
  • Assist with individual student coaching and classroom readiness
  • Collaborate with program coordinators and other licensure faculty to support junior, senior and Teaching Fellows, particularly students of concern
  • Help design or revise programming for candidate-to-educator pipeline
  • Assist with planning specific targeted to support students
  • Host in-person drop-in opportunities for students

Work Schedule Monday-Friday / 8am-5pm (10 hours per week)

Minimum Experience/Education

  • Current driving license and clean driving record
  • Current teaching license in North Carolina
  • Prior K-12 teaching experience required


Department Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to craft clear outreach messages to students, faculty, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and with external partners.
  • Skilled in coordinating the end-to-to-end planning of trips, special events, professional development activities.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, digital communication platforms and virtual meeting forums such as Zoom.
  • Current driving license and clean driving record
  • Current teaching license in North Carolina
  • Prior K-12 teaching experience required

  • Experience coordinating educational programs or professional development events and working collaboratively with schools, universities, and community partners.
