Essential Job Duties |
The primary purpose of this position will be to provide logistical and programmatic support for orientations, workshops, service-learning outings, and related events. Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with coordinating event logistics and support for orientations, workshops, and service-learning outings.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and reimbursements, including booking hotels, meals, and transportation.
- Assist with transportation for outings by driving a van or motor pool vehicle and picking up supplies as needed.
- Support the weekly Teaching Fellows Forum (Mondays, 5:00-7:00 PM).
- Chaperone student trips involving off-campus local travel and occasional overnight stays (includes driving a passenger van or CED vehicle).
- Organize swag items, boxes of supplies, and other materials for events and programs (may involve heavy lifting and off-site pickups).
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

- Experience coordinating events, trips, or programs, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting

- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring deadlines are consistently met even in high-pressure situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to craft clear, persuasive outreach messages to prospective students, faculty, and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and with external partners.
- Skilled in coordinating the end-to-end planning of trips, special events, professional development activities.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Google Suite, digital communication platforms, and virtual meeting forums such as Zoom.
- Current driving license and clean driving record; comfort driving 15-passenger van for occasional outings (regional travel).
- Occasional lifting of boxes and supplies (up to 25 lbs).
- Ability to work evenings (particularly Monday evenings) and occasional weekends.
