What you'll be doing...

We are looking for an Engineer-Software Development, who will be responsible for designing and developing projects for the Marketing, Strategy, Reporting, Analytics, and System of Engagement organizations. This individual will have to work closely with various stakeholders including, but not limited to, Customer Marketing, Customer Strategy, Customer Reporting, and Analytics for technical design and development lifecycle with relentless execution to bring new products, devices, accessories, and promotions across the Value customer products.

You will follow the Agile methodology to gather information from stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and subject matter experts to analyze business needs and document requirements to support the design, development, and testing of various software/data programs.

Design and Development of Technical Platforms:

  • Partnering with businesses to identify requirements and determine the design of the software systems.

  • Developing platform design and testing framework to ensure it aligns with business needs and requirements for Data Analytics Platforms.

  • Building technical pipelines to ingest, load, transform, group, logically join, and assemble data ready for analysis & reporting

  • Building technical pipelines using Cloud or on-premises technologies: AWS Big Data Services or equivalent cloud systems (GCP), Hadoop, HDFS, AI/Deep Learning APIs, SQL/NOSQL, Unstructured Databases, etc.

  • Developing and building/testing platforms using Spark, Pyspark, Data Frames, Data Wrangling, and Data-Transformations with date, numeric, string, and Boolean complexities.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience using AWS frameworks & functional design for projects.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience with Python, Pyspark, Cassandra, JSON objects, XML, S3, EMR, EC2, Kinesis, Cloud Trail, KMS, and other data pipeline equivalent cloud data services.

  • Experience with traditional RDBMS technologies, SQL, and SQL tuning

  • Experience in Platform as service technologies

  • Experience in creating system flow diagrams.

  • Experience with Postman, SoapUI, Java, Oracle, GCP big query, and Snowflake

  • Experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing

  • Experience in one or more scripting or programming language

  • Proficiency in building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets.

  • Knowledge of best practices on AWS Big Data Services for development methodologies, process re-engineering, process modeling & platform development.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $81,000.00 - $155,000.00.
