JOB SUMMARY This position provides strategic, administrative and operational oversight of the Center of Depression, Research and Clinical Care (CDRC). This position reports directly to the Director of the CDRC and includes providing direct supervision and leadership support for the CDRC staff. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective coordination and implementation of key initiatives set forth by the Director, as well as providing operational support to the CDRC's scientific researchers. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required
- Education
Master's Degree in health, business or public health
- Experience
7 years of progressively responsible related experience and 3 years of supervisory experience within a large externally funded academic center or institutional research infrastructure.
JOB DUTIES
- Oversight of the CDRC Research Operations to ensure continued growth and judicious distribution of resources. This includes directing and managing all staff that manage trials.
- Financial Management - Works with the Director and the business manager to develop, implement and oversee operating budgets for the CDRC.
- Human Resource Management - Manages all human resources processes in consultation with the Department of Psychiatry Leadership and University policy. The position will also be responsible for staff engagement and employee relations and satisfaction.
- Organizational Planning - In collaboration with director, develops and implements short- and long-range strategic plans to ensure operational efficiency and success. This function would also include fostering efficiency and collaboration across all units of the CDRC.
- Space and Facilities Management - Manages the planning and utilization of the space within the CDRC, assuring that environmental health and safety standards are adhered to.
- Program Planning and Development - Identifies and analyzes needs within the CDRC for new or revised programs. Assumes administrative responsibilities for new program implementation, including budget, staffing, space, equipment, etc.
- Communications - Manages the production and maintenance of all communications, including the social media, lab websites, and any communications within the CDRC. Works in partnership with the Department Marketing/Communications Manager and the OBI Marketing team.
- Research, Education/Training - Manages the development of methods for collecting, processing, and retrieving data to support CDRC goals. Responsible for overseeing the coordination and submission grants. Manages the planning and implementation of major educational and scientific meetings.
- Participates in Clinical Research and Recruitment Strategy and Management
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director.
