Are you passionate about building and nurturing customer relationships? As an Outside Account Manager at Ryerson, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and expanding our transactional business with both current and past customers within your designated marketplace. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to leverage your skills in relationship management and business development, ensuring that our clients receive unparalleled service and support.

• Interpret and qualify customer-provided documents such as prints, CAD files, and specifications
• Full understanding of tolerances, materials, specifications, and processing options that will guide a robust metal supply chain creation
• Manage part specific supply chains by utilizing internal and external processing assets to meet customer quality and delivery requirements
• Estimate material, labor, and delivery options on a part-level basis and develop contract pricing templates based on awarded work
• Evaluating sales proposals to ensure they are technically accurate and consistent with the organization's quality standards
• Conducting technical analysis of product configurations to determine customer-specific prices
• All other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred
• 1-3 years of sales experience in the metal industry
• Print reading required. CAD or drafting experience a plus
• Experience with SAP is highly preferred
• MS Office software skills required, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience in sales or customer service is an asset
• Working knowledge of geometry, strong math skills, and a technical aptitude

Salary: $65,139.59 to $97,709.39 annual rate.

A starting salary higher than $65,139.59 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
