Job Summary |
Auburn Advancement is excited to begin the search for a Campaign Development Coordinator to join our philanthropy team! In this position, you'll play a role in executing operational philanthropy strategies and coordinate fundraising initiatives.
What You'll Do
Lead with Vision: Manage and execute development projects and day-to-day campaign operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Engage and Inspire: Serve as a liaison to donors, volunteers, and stakeholders by coordinating meetings, preparing briefings, and planning campaign-related events with university leadership Drive Impactful Fundraising: Support all phases of a major fundraising campaign, including donor outreach, research, event logistics, and collaboration with development staff and campaign counsel. Champion Philanthropy: Maintain donor databases and reporting systems; ensure data integrity and generate campaign progress and financial reports for leadership and volunteer boards. Advance Strategic Initiatives: Provide high-level administrative and project support to senior leadership, draft communications, manage special projects, and support presidential campaign engagement

Essential Functions |
Your Responsibilities as Development Program Coordinator:
Purpose
- Drive strategic initiatives by planning and executing philanthropy projects in close collaboration with the Senior Director of Advancement Campaign and Principal Gift Operations.
- Provide operational and administrative oversight of the day-to-day functions of the campaign office, including coordination of internal planning processes and budget management.
- Contribute directly to a major fundraising campaign by identifying prospective donors, supporting campaign outreach, maintaining a strong donor pipeline, and delivering research-driven insights to enhance fundraising strategy and impact.
- Assist with preparing and compiling key campaign reports including tracking goals, financial progress, and donor engagement for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaboration
- Serve as a key liaison to donors and stakeholders by coordinating meetings, preparing briefings, and cultivating meaningful relationships.
- Direct and manage campaign-focused events involving volunteers, boards, donors, and university leadership in coordination with campaign counsel and internal teams.
- Provide high-level support to the Senior Director of Advancement Campaign and Principal Gift Operations by managing effective communication, preparing reports, and coordinating special projects that advance campaign and organizational goals.
- Coordinate with constituencies for strategic engagement, including donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship visits for senior university leadership, while managing logistics such as itineraries and travel accommodations.
Innovation
- Utilize data analysis and CRM systems to manage donor databases, maintain data integrity, and generate insightful reports that inform fundraising decisions and campaign performance.
- Oversee the preparation and dissemination of campaign metrics and reporting, including charts of standards and financial summaries.
- Identify areas for process improvement, propose innovative solutions, and help implement strategic initiatives that support long-term advancement goals and operational excellence within the campaign office.
Production
- Execute multiple projects efficiently, balancing timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Manage internal workflows related to campaign operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all outputs.
- Apply strong organizational and time management skills to ensure a high standard of execution across campaign activities and development operations. Oversee and track monthly and annual budget expenditures to support campaign accountability and financial stewardship.
