Major Responsibilities:The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for responding to member and vendor inquiries, as well as supporting MTAB marketing objectives and initiatives. Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as primary contact for all member benefits inquiries; answer the telephone; respond to calls, email, US mail, web inquiries and walk-in requests for information in a timely manner and route misdirected inquiries to the proper MTAB or MTA personnel. Check membership status for all member inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date member database.
- Maintain thorough understanding of all member benefit programs and help increase awareness of, MTAB programs.
- Maintain up-to-date partner contact information.
- Coordinate local discounts program.
- Coordinate, notification to giveaway winners and distribution of prizes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory of premiums.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory of program fulfillment materials, both print and online documents.
- Respond to all member complaints in a timely manner and in accordance with company complaint procedure to ensure quality service.
- Assist with tracking marketing campaigns and website statistics.
- Proactively contact local leaders to offer MTAB assistance for their meetings and to provide new members with benefit information.
- Monitor MTAB and MTA social media accounts, post content and respond to member posts, as necessary.
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials.
- Ensure all MTAB and partner marketing materials follow brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with marketing team on marketing strategies.
- Assist in proofreading materials.
- Maintain an annual marketing calendar.
- General Office setting, occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
Specific Responsibilities: - Verify accuracy of all data related to member records and benefits programs, input and retrieve data; import and export information to and from MTAB’s member databases and website system.
- Track member calls, requests for information and local events.
- Distribute program information and giveaways for local association meetings and MTA events.
- Work with other MTA departments as necessary to expedite requests for membership changes.
- Peruse local publications and websites for businesses that offer discounts and contact them for inclusion in the local discounts program.
- Create and prepare reports and routine correspondence on own initiative or from rough draft.
- Attend MTA Conferences and local association membership meetings which may periodically be held outside of normal work hours.
- Provide clerical support.
- Assist with the orientation of new employees.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred)
- Commitment to the mission and strategic goals of the MTA and the organized education profession.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of related marketing experience.
- Knowledge of data processing applications related to responsibilities, Microsoft Office Suite, Access database and proficient with social media.
- Experience using a content management system such as WordPress, HubSpot or Drupal.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, Salesforce a plus
- Accurate keyboarding skills of 45 wpm.
- Self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when communicating with members orally, in writing or in face-to-face conversation.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
- Comfortable taking the initiative to resolve issues and ability to identify solutions to problems and errors.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Conscientious attention to detail and excellent proofing skills.
- Exhibits a positive, cooperative attitude; a team player who can work well with individuals or in groups.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency in responding to member and leadership requests and inquiries.
