Controls and coordinates the transportation of packages through the line haul system by aircraft and trucks. Ensures that service commitments are met and minimum disruption occurs to the system due to various factors such as mechanical problems, weather conditions, operational/regulatory requirements and volume fluctuations. Essential Functions
Minimum Education Associate degree/equivalent preferably in aviation or transportation industry. Aircraft dispatcher's license required. Minimum Experience One (1) year of experience involving flight planning/following, weather analysis, aircraft systems, navigation, or crew resource management or active participation in the daily planning, operation or operational control of aircraft or freight movement under FAR Part 121 or 135. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of FARS 91, 121, 135, and NTSB Part 830. Knowledge of international regulations and ICAO weather and ability to read/interpret weather reports charts. Strong organization, planning, and twenty-four hour, seven day week operation. Job Conditions Requires medical exam in accordance with FAA regulations. Subject to regulatory alcohol and drug testing which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, and opiates. Preferred Qualifications: Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law.
